2024 Field Day at EOC The antennas indicated below will be on the tower
trailer for the 2024 field day at EOC.
The SWR curves below indicate the results of tuning. This should shorten setup time. The band multiplexer will on the triband
beam to allow three users at a time.
The double bazooka wire antenna will be on the tower just under the
triband beam in an inverted V configuration facing north/south. Click the links below for additional information. |

SWR Curve for the 40 Meter Double Bazooka Antenna
after Tuning. (Feed point at 20 ft.,
ends at 12 ft.) This antenna will be
on the tower at Field Day. With the
additional height, the bandwidth may widen a little. IF the SWR curve shifts too much, it can be
adjusted on-site by folding over the ends more or less. |

Tribander Repair:
Before and After. Marine-grade Heat Shrink was applied to each
junction. (Default measurements start
from the edge of the plastic end caps.)
Regular steel clamps were replaced with stainless steel. The beta
match was repaired, but more attention to this may be needed later. Vic replaced the specified coax balun with
a box balun. A box-type balun is an
option on this antenna. |
